Santosh Kenchamba, a youth leader from Belur, has made it his mission to empower young people and foster a sense of community in his hometown. One of his most significant achievements has been the creation of the ILYF International Lingayat Youth Forum, which has become a vital platform for dialogue, social action, and community building. The International Lingayat Youth Forum was founded in 2017 by Santosh and a group of like-minded individuals who wanted to create a space for young people to come together and discuss issues affecting their community. The Forum's primary objective was to promote the principles of Basaveswara, that emphasizes the importance of community entrepreneurship, social justice, equality, and personal growth and responsibility.
